With a lifelong commitment to funeral services, Sheri Kortgaard exemplifies dedication and compassion. She prioritizes the exceptional quality of services offered by Platinum Transfer, understanding that our team often serves as the first point of contact for families embarking on their grief journey. Sheri holds dual licenses in funeral directing and embalming in both Alberta and Saskatchewan, demonstrating leadership that is both hands-on and supportive. She is a Certified Funeral Service Practitioner (CFSP) and has been honoured with the AFSA Long Service Award for her 25 years of exemplary service.

Steve has been a valuable part of our team since 2019 and has served many roles including transfer driver, management consultant, and currently, operations management.

Steve holds a master’s degree in public policy and management and has spent a career as a leader, soldier and humanitarian.

Steve has served as a soldier in the Canadian Army, a certified municipal administrator, and an executive and disaster management expert with the Red Cross. He currently works as a leadership expert, coach, consultant, speaker, and educator. Steve is also a board member and committee chair on the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta provincial council.

From a young age, Cynthia felt a calling to support those in need during times of loss. While she initially envisioned a career in a funeral home, her path took a rewarding turn when she joined the Platinum team in July 2019. After serving several years as a transfer specialist in Saskatoon, Cynthia relocated to Regina and quickly established herself as a respected team lead. She thrives when traveling and takes great pride in representing an organization she deeply believes in. With each home or establishment that she visits, Cynthia sets the standard for exceptional transfer services.

With over 15 years of experience as a leadership coach and trainer, Chandra has dedicated her career to helping individuals and teams thrive through personal growth, professional development, and effective leadership strategies. Her passion for empowering others has made her a trusted guide for leaders seeking to unlock their potential and foster meaningful change.

Chandra’s journey into the funeral industry was born out of her deep compassion and love for humanity. Recognizing the profound impact of loss, she felt called to make a difference by supporting people during one of the most challenging times in their lives and this passion led her to Platinum Transfer. Combining her leadership expertise with her empathetic nature, Chandra brings a unique perspective to the funeral industry, creating an environment of care, understanding, and healing for those navigating the loss of a loved one.

Alex Takeshi was born in Calgary, raised in Hawaii and graduated with a degree in Psychology and Criminology. Alex has always been drawn to helping people, be it as a tactical medic or a member of the Canadian Armed Forces.  

He did four tours of duty in Afghanistan. Alex has black belts in both Renbukai Karate and Keijusukai Aikido. He has been a caregiver to his grandmother and is a big animal lover. Alex joined Platinum Transfer in 2023; with his natural ability to be a caregiver, he finds it rewarding to comfort families in their time of grief.

Born and raised in Prince Albert and a proud citizen of the Métis Nation, Chris Settee credits his warmth and open nature to the meaningful time he spent with his grandfather during his upbringing. Joining Platinum Transfer in 2021, Chris quickly discovered a passion for connecting with new people and communities, cherishing the trust placed in him to fulfill our important role. Committed to assisting others with confidence and compassion, his travels throughout Northern Saskatchewan have deepened his respect for the healing power of culture and ceremony.

Since joining Platinum Transfer in March 2018, Roger Klassen has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to his role. He takes immense pride in his work and approaches his responsibilities with great consideration for the families we serve. Roger finds deep satisfaction in assisting families during their time of loss. With his exceptional ability to troubleshoot and keen eye for detail, he is ideally suited to maintain the company's equipment.
