Sheri grew up on a farm in Southeast Saskatchewan and, from a young age, had an interest in funeral service. Seeing an opportunity, she relocated to Alberta to pursue her chosen career. She obtained an apprenticeship with Yewchin’s Funeral Chapel in St. Paul, Alberta, marking the beginning of her lifelong career. She continued her education, obtaining a Management Certificate from SAIT and the designation of CFSP (Certified Funeral Service Practitioner) along with becoming a Grief Edu-Therapy Specialist. Sheri currently holds a dual license of funeral directing and embalming in both Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Sheri believes in building relationships, and leading her teams with positivity and empathy. She is well-known for her open door, answering the phone at any hour for both staff and clients alike. She takes a hands-on approach as a leader but encourages her team to be confident in their decisions.
Sheri and her husband, Graham, have three teenagers. On weeknights they play games and sports together, and she loves to listen to Graham play at Open Mic nights. During her spare time, she can be found enjoying her large garden. Sheri takes pride in her work, and has recently received the AFSA Long Term Funeral Distinction Award for 25 years of service.

As with all of Platinum’s management staff, Jodie started as a transfer specialist. This was a seamless transition for her after serving as an End of Life Doula. It did not take long for her growth to take off. She joined the dispatch team shortly after, and ultimately put her professional background to use as our Human Resources and Payroll Manager.
Jodie was born and raised outside of Edmonton, but has lived in four different provinces and has spent many years travelling. We’re only a little bit jealous that she’s been to places like Barbados, Italy, Switzerland, and Germany, to name a few. It is this passion for adventure and life that makes her approachable and fun to work with.
As if she wasn’t skilled enough as it is, Jodie is also a culinary chef of fifteen years, and in 2018, she won the Calgary White Hat Award for Best Culinary Services. She is a proud mom to Jerrith, her son, and cats Jynx and Jazz. She believes family and friends are the most important part of life, and loves listening to Santana, and reading just about any novel she can. She is a great fit for Platinum, and truly epitomizes the saying: “Do what you love, and you will never work a day in your life.”
Ashley has spent five years working for Platinum in a part-time role, along with holding a full-time job, and playing sports in her free time. We are thrilled that she's decided to come on board full-time in the new role of Performance Advisor. Ashley will be working with our team leads to ensure that we are following the same standards company-wide.
Nicole was our first transfer specialist in Saskatoon. While she has filled many positions within the company, Nicole is perfectly suited for the role of training advisor. Nicole was our first transfer specialist in Saskatoon. While she has filled many positions within the company, Nicole is perfectly suited for the role of training advisor. She has a gift of making every family feel special and always includes ceremony when looking after their loved ones. This might include playing their favourite song on route or making sure there is a special memento along with them.
Nicole left Platinum to spend a year working as a Saskatoon community coroner. We're thankful that Nicole decided that she prefers the hands-on aspect of transfers and came back to start this new role within the company.
